Continue ReadingIt’s not too late to whip up a chocolate treat for your Valentine. Melt 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon coconut oil in the microwave. 3o seconds at a time until smooth. Dip strawberries in chocolate and place on waxed paper. Place in the frig until chocolate is hard. Done!! YUM!!
Continue ReadingI recently cut the tag out of this top and made 2 small holes along the neckline. ugh. I pieced together some scraps of fabric to form a binding. Trimmed it down to cover the holes, pressed the raw edges down to form a binding and attached to the neckline. I am happy with the finished product.
Continue ReadingOver Thanksgiving break, I replaced a torn belt loop adding just a bit of color. At Christmas, I patched a “split in the butt”. Simple mix of fabrics to make a patch, press under the raw edges and machine stitch in place. January – and another patch just in time for Valentine’s Day! This time I did a bit of hand slip stitching. It will be fun to see how these jeans look a year…
