I am making dish towels for Christmas gifts, but they can be used and given all year long.

I found these waffle towels in a pack of 4 online. They are a nice size at 16 x 24 inches.

I want to use up some scraps from my stash, so I chose to add one 6 inch piece on one end. You could also make a patch work piece with multiple smaller strips of fabric to use up more scraps!

I pre washed and pressed all the towels and fabrics before I began.

I cut my piece of decorative fabric to 17 x 7 inch rectangles.

Press all 4 edges under 1/2 inch.

Fit on the towel where you want it and stitch in place.

One last press and you are done! These would make a great gift alone or with a bottle of wine or holiday goodies!

Are you making any gifts this Christmas? I am always up for new ideas. These are quick and easy to assemble and are such a practical gift.
